Peaks of the Absaroka Mountains As we enter the East Gate of Yellowstone we’ll climb steadily and travel over Sylvan Pass at an elevation of 8,530 feet. This is an alpine environment surrounded by rugged 10,000 foot peaks of the Absaroka Mountains.
Lake Yellowstone We often find dusky grouse in this spot and occasionally grizzly bears.
A great place to watch the cutthroat trout in the clear waters of the Yellowstone River from the bridge. We often see white pelicans, osprey, waterfowl, river otters and other wildlife at this location.
Wildlife of Yellowstone We'll drive through the beautiful Hayden Valley with wildlife stops when necessary. This is prime viewing area for grizzly bears, wolves, bison, elk and other wildlife.
Lower Falls Numerous viewing areas of both the Upper and Lower Falls. This 20 mile long canyon is over a 1000 feet deep. We can also see wildlife in the area including nesting osprey.
This alpine environment can be ablaze in wildflower blooms during the summer. This is also an excellent area to see wildlife such as mule deer, elk, grizzly bears, black bears, wolves and even bison.

Minerva Terrace Mammoth Hot Springs is the worlds largest hot springs complex.
Grand Prismatic Spring Midway Geyser Basin is home to the worlds largest hot spring Grand Prismatic. You can also see the enormous but now dormant Excelsior Geyser and its impressive crater. It pours over 4000 gallons of hot water into the Firehole River every minute.
Old Faithful Worlds largest concentration of geysers and thermal features including the famous Old Faithful Geyser.
