Digital Photography Magazine proclaimed him one the top 100 wildlife photographers in the world. With undergraduate degrees in wildlife management and geology and graduate work in earth science, Robert has an extensive knowledge of the natural world. 

His images have been extensively published (over fifteen thousand published images including hundreds of front covers) worldwide with images featured in, Audubon Magazine, National Wildlife, Sierra Magazine, Smithsonian Magazine, Defenders Magazine, National Geographic and many others. His photographic prints have hung in the Smithsonian and the United States Congress. Robert is also an accomplished assignment photographer specializing in nature and environmental issues.

Dale has been leading photo tours since 1989 in Yellowstone National Park during all seasons and also conducts informative nature & wildlife photography tours to many locations including Alaska and Africa. Dale and his wife Lorri and their dog Roscoe live in the heart of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem in Cody Wyoming.
